The village of Dobrá Voda lies approximately 4 km east of České Budějovice. It is mostly famous for The Church of Our Lady of Sorrow, a beautiful Baroque building designed by the famous architect K.I.Dientzenhofer in the 18 th century.

The village of Dobrá Voda lies approximately 4 km east of České Budějovice. It is mostly famous for The Church of Our Lady of Sorrow, a beautiful Baroque building designed by the famous architect K.I.Dientzenhofer in the 18th century.
Originally a mining village, Dobrá voda gained its fame for a spring of healing water that was found there in the 17th century. A spa built near the stream. For its gaining popularity, the people of České Budějovice decided to build a church in Dobrá Voda, the aforementioned Church of Our Lady of Sorrow. The local sculptor Josef Dietrich made the decorations of the facade and the famous painter Václav Vavřinec Reiner painted the ceiling. There are the Stations of the Cross leading to the church.

Dobrá Voda can be easily reached by public transport from České Budějovice.
